A week before my current visit, I had a disappointing experience with the Lemon Meringue Pie and left the pie unfinished. The following week I returned. After I placed my order, the server (the tall chap) told me that he was aware I was not happy with the pie on my previous visit and asked why. So I explained. I was rather surprised that he noticed and he told me that the Red Velvet Cake I ordered will be complimentary to make up for the less than stellar Lemon Meringue Pie. This is what I call service! I was impressed. So far I find the food to be tasty (the kebabs are very good) and the coffee excellent. Service is also prompt and efficient. The cakes are of good quality and not too sweet. So far I have tried the Carrot Cake and Red Velvet. I'm afraid I will not recommend the Lemon Meringue Pie. Kudos to the service staff and I am not saying this just because I was compensated with a complimentary cake.

It took quite a long time after we placed our order. We happened to stop by at night. The fries were crispy, but the pizza was undercooked and tasted like a reheated frozen pizza. The mushroom soup also had an overall burnt flavor, possibly because the bacon was overcooked. I was honestly surprised after seeing the high review ratings afterward. In Malaysia, even cafés now serve quite authentic pizzas, so I felt the quality here was rather disappointing.

Food is good Prices is getting more expensive Service is not getting any better in fact less staffs working. With less than a handful of customers it’s surprisingly so difficult to get any help with one of their staffs. The main person at the cashier couldn’t be bothered to look at me, seeing me wave my hand. He looked the other way. I went over and paid the bill instead. The coffee jelly latte is really lousy. Drink taste good, but not the jelly. The coffee jelly was the biggest deal breaker. By the way, Antipodean, you were once my favourite go place in Atria. Now you’ve lost that loving feeling and me as a customer.

Had a good robust cafe latte here earlier today. My thoughts. A cafe latte should be served in a small glass rather a big cup. So when I saw the server bring my latte in the hoped for glass, I knew this is a place that knows its coffee. At first sip, you can taste the full robust flavours without any hints of bitterness. My drink wasn’t over heated too. Just about the perfect latte. Kudos to the team. Service was quick and friendly too. Overall, a totally enjoyable experience.

Enjoyed some cookies late at night before closure. I liked the Afghan cookie the most. An abundance of tables in a rather empty and quiet mall. Still, Antipodean is a nice place to chill out by the water fountains with decent desserts and pleasant staff.
