Cozy Indian restaurant in the heart of Thamel! With patio and rooftop seating you can't go wrong with the ambiance. Like most spots good wine is hard to get by the glass. The spiced aloo appeared almost immediately. It was crunchy on the outside and soft inside with local spices. We got the dal makhani and palak paneer. Along with jeera rice and cheese naan. The food was well made and passed the bar. However, for someone from India and for a restaurant that got voted the best, it didn't exceed the bar. Indian food can be more complex and flavored than this. The hookah was the star of the night though. The special flavor was nice and strong and it was a good end to a great meal.

There is no wonder why this place won Nepal's Best Restaurant 2025. The food here is simply amazing, some of the best Indian food I have ever had in my life. I am still thinking about it and regret that I didn't go back 1 more time before leaving Kathmandu. Had the chicken briyani, prawn madaras & paneer butter masala and will 100% recommend those to anyone going.

This is my first time leaving a review for Third Eye, even though I visit this restaurant every time I’m in Thamel. I’ve had dinner here many times, and the place is always attractive - with a nice terrace and indoor smoking and non-smoking areas. The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights. However, I still don’t understand why most other restaurants in Thamel don’t charge VAT, but this one charges a full 15% VAT. It feels unusual compared to others. The good thing is that they no longer add any service fees. The staff are friendly and service-minded, but overall, this visit felt average. So for now, I’m giving it 3 stars.

Lovely restaurant serving Indian and Nepalese food. It is evident that the atmosphere/decoration has been carefully curated. The service was excellent and they accept cards. We tried Malai kofta, which was good, and palak panner that missed a bit of flavour. The food was totally no spicy - so perhaps a little western oriented.
