If you eat here.. go in to the toilet, look left and if SENIOR is in the kitchen.. eat here. If JUNIOR is in the kitchen. Eat somewhere else. Regular customers, but not returning when junior is cooking. No clue!

Sat for 20 mins before even being approached. Yet a group came in had their drinks and food before I even had the waitress come up to me. After receiving my drink I sat for another half hour while the couple next to me (who arrived after I did) received their food and neither waitress bothered to look my way. Was like they didn’t want to serve a solo person. I was going to order food but decided to go somewhere else. Super slow service. Ridiculous wait times.

There’s a lot of negative reviews for this place and we were really pleasantly surprised on arrival. It’s in a beautiful spot overlooking the square and the restaurant/cafe attached is a great people watching spot. The rooms were basic but very comfortable, bed was comfy, shower worked and was hot and the fan was welcomed! Check in and check out was a breeze and the staff were really helpful and lovely throughout! The stairs are slightly death defying but that is the case in a lot of places in Amsterdam and Haarlem so it may not be the most accessible place to travel without some enquires bef
