Melanie Ward★Sat for 20 mins before even being approached. Yet a group came in had their drinks and food before I even had the waitress come up to me. After receiving my drink I sat for another half hour while the couple next to me (who arrived after I did) received their food and neither waitress bothered to look my way. Was like they didn’t want to serve a solo person. I was going to order food but decided to go somewhere else. Super slow service. Ridiculous wait times.

It’s in a beautiful spot overlooking the square and the restaurant/cafe attached is a great people watching spot. The rooms were basic but very comfortable, bed was comfy, shower worked and was hot and the fan was welcomed! Check in and check out was a breeze and the staff were really helpful and lovely throughout! The stairs are slightly death defying but that is the case in a lot of places in Amsterdam and Haarlem so it may not be the most accessible place to travel without some enquires bef
