First experience in Càceres and already a top one. We came here following the recommendation from a local colleague and aiming for a local special: the "cuchifrito ibérico". Awesome. You can not miss it. Cuchifrito is mainly pork bacon cooked in such a way that it is tender insise and crispy -fried- outside. At La Minerva you get in a fashion way with a delicous chanterelles cream and a lovely presentation. They follow this approach with all their dishes so definitely it was a great experience!! This is by far the best meal we have had in Spain. Service outstanding spending time explaining the spanish menu. Atmosphere sitting in the heat of the evening under the shadow of a 12th century moorish tower with all the locals was an amazing experience and the food was next level. The best pork and lamb I've tasted and you have to try the spicy patatas bravas sauce. We'll be back tomorrow.

I went to this restaurant last night and I really wished I could’ve stayed an extra day in Cáceres to try more of their food options. The staff greeted us warmly, the service was amazing and the food was absolutely exceptional. Flavorful and the portion size of the tapas were perfect. 10/10 recommend and will definitely return during my next visit.
