We popped into Akbar’s in Blackburn on Sunday for a bite to eat, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was excellent—freshly prepared, full of flavour, and clearly high quality. It’s not your typical curry; the dishes felt authentic and thoughtfully made. The naan bread was huge and delicious, and the mango lassi was spot on. The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Shahid, our server, was friendly and very knowledgeable, which really added to the experience. Overall, a fantastic visit—I’ll definitely be back.

First visit but won’t be our last. Short walk from Blackburn Cathedral & King George hall. Food was outstanding. The service was great. The decor inside was modern and fresh. Great menu at reasonable money. Food was that good I only took a picture of my starter. Great for families and groups too

Very very good first visit. Food was spot on and the level of service they have got perfectly as they did everything they could to ensure we had what we needed for a nice meal out. Complimentary coffees, hot hand towels and Ferrero Rochers helped to end the evening on a positive and we will definitely return for another meal.

First time visiting and I was impressed. Not only was the food excellent but the decor had a uniqueness and vibrancy not seen in many places, certainly not an Indian restaurant. Sidhu , our server , made sure we got all that we needed. He was friendly, polite, professional and attentive without being intrusive. He also gave great advice on menu choices and serving sizes. He was part of a team of people who were also friendly and make you feel welcome from the start. If you want an Indian restaurant that's a little different from the rest you cant go wrong with Akbars , Blackburn
