This place is a true gem! We initially had plans to eat elsewhere, as we came back to visit Canterbury, based on recollection of places we liked. We came here for a birthday lunch and the setting alone earns it serious points. Cafe du Soleil occupies a former 18th-century wool store on the banks of the River Stour- you cross a little bridge just to get in, which sets the tone nicely. Fantastic Mediterranean restaurant in Canterbury! I absolutely recommend the sharing plate which was such a fun way to try various offerings all at once. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic as well! The restaurant has some nice outdoor seating as well which we enjoyed.
