A really lovely meal at Casa Mia. We walked in at 18:00 and, even though they were fully booked from 19:30 onwards, they kindly squeezed us in. Despite being underdressed, we were made to feel completely welcome. The whipped feta with beetroot and pumpkin seeds was excellent. The king prawns in chilli pil‑pil were full of flavour, with bread to soak up the sauce. The haddock Kiev with dauphinoise potatoes and Lockerbie cheddar custard was a standout. The food is wonderful and the welcome and service superb - these folks really know how to run a restaurant, they get everything right. Credit to all at Casa Mia for the dedication and sheer hard work which goes into the whole operation and giving diners a great experience week in, week out.
