I visited today to order a large iced caramel latte, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience. I was given a medium instead of the large I ordered, and as you can see, the drink was not even filled properly. The taste was also off—it didn’t have the caramel flavor at all. Additionally, the employee at the drive-thru seemed to be in a bad mood. I greeted her and said thank you, but she did not respond and appeared unfriendly. I’ve been coming to this location for more than five years and was informed this morning, — for the first time, that they no longer provide soft drink refills, even for customers dining inside. The employee behind the counter explained this is a recent change under the new ownership. Unfortunately, this was very disappointing to hear. Small things like this matter when you’ve been a loyal customer for years, and it feels like customer experience is no longer a priority. As a result, I will no longer be a customer at this location.

This place and the rest of the previously Bear Family McD’s I’ve gone to (Elgin Randall and West Dundee) are so bad since the franchise sale. Never got sauces requested for and when you ask, the employees are put off by forgetting something you ordered. It’s terrible. They used to run like a well oiled machine and had very few mistakes in my experience. Not any more.

I placed a DoorDash order and found a dead insect (looks like a fly) in my fries!!! I dumped the fries onto their napkins and when I was getting to the bottom I saw something black, I thought it was a tiny piece of burned fry, but as I looked closer, it’s a dead bug!!! Never in my life have I ever had this happen, and I feel sick to my stomach - appetite gone! Employee and managers, come on!!! How would you like to find a bug in your food???
