This is a spotlessly clean and neat place tucked into strip mall with a liquor store, a pawn shop, a smoke shop and another Latin restaurant. The counter staff was charming and friendly. I stopped in because it was within walking distance and was the only place open on a late Wednesday That said, the food was mediocre at best. The Bistek El Salvodorena was tough as a boot sole and drowned in stewed tomatoes and onions. I can't think of how to mess up black beans and rice, but they managed spectacularly. Excellent food!! Great menu with different options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very family oriented. The popusas and the caldo de res are my favorites. I have been a customer for awhile and so far no complaints. The servers are always checking to make sure you dont need anything. I recommended it 100%, ths best Salvadorian restaurant in OKland Park. The owner approached my table recently asking me if I was enjoying my lunch. I took this opportunity to express to him my comments about how i enjoy the food.

I've had take out here before and the pork chops was soo delicious! Came back with my dad for lunch and we both ate all our food! It healthy, delicious and felt like home cooking! Can't wait to try the other food on their menu! Service was friendly and the place was very clean!

Something for everyone- never had Salvadoran food before wanted to try based on ratings. On my go to, next time we fly into this area going forward. Flavorful and plenty to enjoy now and later should you be able to stop.
