We took a ride to City Barbecue in Park Ridge. It's about thirty minutes northwest of Chicago. I ordered a combination plate with Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket. The plate came with cole slaw, beans and a piece of bread. Really delicious and really moist. The location is very clean and employees are very friendly.

Their featured sandwich was delicious. Consists of burnt ends with honey glaze and sliced smoked turkey. Yum! I added sliced pickles from the condiment bar. Also added diced onion and jalapeño to my beans and potatoe salad for added flavor. Decent outdoor seating area. Great lunch! * price reflects $15 in reward dollars that I applied - a nice program!

We had City Barbeque cater our wedding, and they were fantastic! The food was outstanding, and the entire team was so easy to work with throughout the planning process. Venisha and Lilly were especially great. They were helpful, responsive, and accommodating every step of the way. We loved having a buffet, and our guests appreciated being able to go back for seconds. On our wedding day, the team went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of as well. Second time here today. First was very September and I have been itching to come back. I love the brisket, its the item I judge BBQ venues by. The brisket i took home was superb even. My initial impression in September was that the owners put huge $$$ into the smokers they have. I used to work BBQ prior using a $30k industrial smoker that had 8 racks, and each rack a was 12 ft long. It was a carousel like smoker. Without seeing the insides of the smoker, from examining the outter smoker parts - I could deduce that the THREE of them cost a pretty good amount... then the smell of the wood hit
