They are not fluffy and light, but rather a bit crumbly (I am referring to the dough donuts not the cake donuts). The icy was not smooth. Instead just a hint of sugar crystals. The worst part was the hint of lardy coating that was left in the mouth after eating one. The shop was clean. And the service was very friendly. They had regular customers in the shop which shows they have appreciative customers. This was my first time and I will go back in the spring to see if I just caught them on a bad day. It can h

This place is right out of the 90s in an unassuming neighborhood in Raytown. For thier free doughnut day they have made the original recipe doughnut that was given to our armed forces on the front lines during WW1. Titled the "doughboy" given out to soldiers by "doughnut lassies" to give our boys a taste of home. Dont sleep on this little strip mall treasure.

This seems like a family business as there was kids behind the counter and helping wait tables. They had good customer service and were helpful getting missing items like straws, sugar, etc. We ordered glaze donuts and maple bars as well as a ham omelette and a breakfast sandwich with bacon and sausage. Food was good, cooked to order, donuts were okay nothing fancy.
