I always bring friends and family from out of town here. Lots of Southern and/or Asian-inspired fare on the food side. They always have fresh flowers

A secret to good gumbo is okra that not overly cooked and this place certainly mastered that technique. Add excellent pastries, friendly service, and it is one of the best breakfast joints in Rogers Park. Highly recommended.
