Our first attempt to visit Old Hickory House on Monday didn’t work out because they’re closed on Mondays. Fortunately, we were still in the area and made it back today. Old Hickory House traces its roots back to 1955, and the Tucker location, which opened in 1974, is now the last remaining Old Hickory House restaurant. The place still has that classic Southern barbecue feel with wood-paneled walls, comfortable booths, and decades of history around every corner. Yummy, good southern food that will fill your belly and feed your soul. Nice and comfortable atmosphere that's family friendly. Ton of options to pick from, both breakfast and dinner options served at scheduled timeframe. We dined on Saturday before 2 PM so we had breakfast but dinner menu was also available. Definitely worth the drive and we'll be back again and again!

We ordered some food and the wings were good but a bit salty for some reason. I’m not sure if it was the sauce or the seasonings used. I’ll be honest, I cleaned them to the bone. The service was good as I didn’t require much during this order. It’s a simple place with good food. Basically! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed enough to not return instead of going some place else to pay an arm and a leg and possibly a kidney! Would I return? Yes.

We came to this restaurant with fond memories of a long time ago when it was really good. Our lunch today was just awful. The chicken was so overcooked. Neither my husband I could eat it. They say the vegetables are fresh, but it sure tasted canned to me. We won’t never come back. So disappointed. I normally don’t leave bad reviews. I just don’t come back, but I think people should be warned.
