This location has a genuinely odd atmosphere. Management feels absent, security feels dismissive, and basic interactions often come across as cold or defensive. It's hard to put a finger on, but there seems to be an underlying culture here that lacks hospitality and customer care. I left with the impression that helping people is treated as an inconvenience rather than part of the job. Not a welcoming experience.

I am giving this store a one star not because the bakery items are not good it's because their customers service is horrible I asked if they could help me with placing an order online to make a red velvet cake because the options don't offer icing or filling for the red velvet then I wanted a printable image with words and they told me I had to print the picture out instead of emailing it I said I don't have a printer and they said that's all we can do they were not willing to help and was fine with me taking my business elsewhere when I spoke with the Bakery manager she said the system is lim

My shopping experiences at the Broadway Cambell plaza Safeway have been pleasant. The store is clean and easy to navigate. If I am not able to find something, the staff is friendly and informative. Among the reasons I shop at this Safeway, friendly staff, fresh produce, refundable dairy containers, fresh meat cuts, prepared meals, health foods, coffee shop, deli, and bakery. I enjoy the in store shopping experience. However they have DUG (drive up and go) those associates are well organized, fast, informative, and friendly. I visited Safeway today to pick-up up a few things. One thing I had to get was my chocolate milk!! That is one of my true enjoyments. As I went to the cooler to get it, I noticed there was only one half gallon left and it was pushed all the way to the back. I attempted to reach it but at 5'3" was not successful. I looked around to see if there was a Safeway employee that I could ask to get it for me. I finally looked towards the bakery and a young gentleman by the name of Adan happened to be there.
