mphineas1★★★★★OUTSTANDING local neighborhood sports bar. Am here visiting doing the monument/tourist thing with wifey, staying at the Hotel Washington and needed a place close to eat. Stumbled onto this place- advertised as DC's Oldest Sports Bar- and went in immediately. Food was delicious, recommend the Fish n' Chips, and the beer cold. All priced reasonably well. It's a local hangout for the young suits but the guy running it loves tourists. Service was elite and very welcoming- thanks Philip! Full of old DC Sports vibes too. Definite Five Stars here!

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a friendly welcome, the bar/restaurant is clean with great lighting! I’m all about the lighting.. some places are too bright where you feel like you’re sitting in a diner, others too dark where you can’t even see the menu.
