Tinashe Mukundwa★★★★If you are looking for a dining experience that hits every high note, Salt is a must-visit. It’s a sophisticated addition to the Harare food scene that delivers on every front. While the service was top-tier, the food was the absolute highlight. Every bite was a masterclass in flavor and presentation. It’s clear the chefs are pushing boundaries with a menu that is as creative as it is delicious. From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly well taken care of. The staff is professional, quick, and genuinely passionate about the menu—they make the entire experience feel effortless. The interior design is stunning. It features a sleek, ultra-modern aesthetic that feels both upscale and inviting. It’s the perfect backdrop for a trendy night out or a polished business lunch. Salt offers a great atmosphere with food that somehow manages to outshine the beautiful surroundings. Easily one of the top spots in Zimbabwe right now.
Natsai Gwasira★★Greatly Disaappointed Went for lunch on Christmas day (today). Ordered the wings and chicken tenders for starters. The chicken tenders were blunt in flavour with no salt at all but were served hot a . I had to add lots of salt and pepper to try get some flavour, would give them a 4/10. The wings were the only dish I enjoyed out of the dishes we ordered they were a 9/10 for me. Ordered The half chicken and chips and shrimp pesto pasta for the main dishes. The 1/2 chicken had no salt at all and was very dry. The chips tasted like pre bought frozen chips and were not tasting like potatoes and were served cold. I will give it a 4/10. The shrimp pasta was okay but had no salt . I had to add lots of salt and pepper. I would rate it 8/10. My two sisters and my toddler niece who also had late lunch today on Chistmas day but about two hours after me called me asking how I found the meals and complained about the flavour and quality of meals. They oredered salmon and potatoes, Ceaser S
Shah S★★★★I’d like to share my experience at Salt restaurant. I’ve dined here more than five times and love bringing family and friends along. The ambiance and decor are truly unique for Zimbabwe. The food is generally very good, although there are occasional inconsistencies in quality; however, it seems they're working to improve this. One aspect that some might find off-putting is the pricing. While I understand the quality, it is on the higher side compared to other places. A slight adjustment could definitely attract more customers. I highly recommend the smoked beef burger, dynamite shrimp, and garlic bread—they’re outstanding! However, I believe the beverage prices could be reconsidered, as they are quite steep and tax is added separately, unlike many other restaurants where prices include tax. Overall, I wish Salt all the best!
Grace Zichawo★★★★Very good fast and friendly service! The food was delicious and filling. Large portions and flavorful. The space not as big as I expected. It was a great experience! Well done!
Eli Mudzamiri★★★★As my first time at Salt Zim, and my first time having heard of it, Salt Zim has left me in awe. The atmosphere was charming and the service was fantanstic, especially to mention Paul. He was very respectful and humerous. The only qualm I have is the lacking amount of alternatives for people who cannot eat certain things. This affected a member of my party's experience. That said. The overall experience has been almost perfect. Definitely will return. 4.6 stars. (IMO)
emmanuel sequera★★★★★Eish, that mushroom sauce on the fillet is something else! It’s actually world-class. We also tried the brownie for dessert and it was decadent—thick, chocolatey, and just what I needed. The service was sharp too, no long waiting. If you're looking for a quality meal that's worth the price, this is it, shamwari
Samantha Dhliwayo★★★★The quest for the best breakfast place continues. I always appreciate reimagined concepts of things. Like the way this food was served on a cast iron grill plate. However, ergonomics matter. It was very much difficult to have the food on the grill because the surface was not flat and there wasn’t any space to do anything. So, we had to request for side plates. Onto the food itself. It was alright. I enjoyed the sausages the most and maybe the bread. Everything else was kinda an npc. The beans were a bit too watery so they lost their flavour. I’m not a fan of mushrooms but my mom is, she said they weren’t great. I usually love grilled tomatoes but I only had a bit of this one. I think maybe there was a lot going on in the plate so I didn’t get a chance to eat and enjoy everything. The potatoes were a weird addition. Starch has no place on a breakfast plate. I will always advocate for its eradication. The service was okay. Our waitress was quite friendly but I was a bit disappointed th
Daniel Tanaka Mpofu★★★★Great food and exceptional service! The dishes were delicious and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The prices are slightly higher than average, but the outstanding quality, cozy atmosphere, and attentive staff make it well worth it. Plus, parking was easy to find, free, and secure, which is a big bonus. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience with convenience and great flavors, this is the place to go. Highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!
