If you’re looking for a top-tier Iraqi food experience in Fawkner, Abu Noaas is the place to be! We came in as a group of three and were blown away by the quality. We ordered the Quzi Lamb, Dlimeya, and Falafel, and every single dish was a 10/10. The lamb was incredibly tender, and the Dlimeya was authentic and rich in flavor. The portions are massive—definitely come hungry! Even the free sides ( fresh bread and pickle) were very delicious and clearly made with fresh ingredients. We were recommended this restaurant by my work colleague. We went at lunchtime. Being vegetarian we were pleasantly surprised to find quite a few vegetarian options on the menu. We had the flavoured rice and okra soup served with a side plate of salad ( pickled cabbage red radish and raw onions).. we also had the falafel with mango dip, which were really crunchy on the outside with sesame seeds topping and soft from the inside.....food was served with a slice of complimentary Iraqi bread..we tried the tea as well...it was fragrant with a hint of cardamom...we left very content with the simple

Ordered a special Middle Eastern platter and it was done perfectly. The grilled meats were juicy and full of flavour, the Iraqi bread Samoon was fresh and soft, and the sides were spot on. Fresh tabbouleh, well-seasoned grilled vegetables, and crisp pickled cabbage that balanced everything. What impressed me most was how well they handled a custom order. Everything was fresh, generous portions, and exactly as requested. Highly recommend for authentic Middle Eastern food, halal grilled meats, and custom Middle Eastern platters.
