A wonderful, romantic restaurant. We had a great dinner at this restaurant, which is conveniently located near Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. The atmosphere is lovely – much cozier than some of the posted pictures seem to suggest. The noise level was great - there was very soft music playing, and one could hear a murmur of conversations from adjoining tables, but conversation was easy and clear without any strain to hear or need to talk loudly. This is far from my first experience with restaurants of this level, but unfortunately, this one turned out to be the worst among them. We ordered a tasting menu, expecting a cohesive and well-thought-out experience. The start was strong: the amuse-bouche was 5/5 — rich, flavorful, and genuinely enjoyable. We ate here on a Monday evening, it's never easy to find a good spot Mondays! However this was exceptional with a lovely atmosphere and excellent service. The restaurant aims to bridge the gap between fine dining and slow/farm to table food. I can report that it does that spectacularly well. We ate a la carte and enjoyed sharing an creative and tasty carrot starter, delicate cured salmon trout with buttermilk and potatoes followed by a really tasty ribeye steak. Wine by the glass, with good advice from the sommelier/waiter. Top marks and we would return with pleasure.
