This actually happened, believe it or not!!! I was going to order hamburger meals from the A&W in Carlingwood Mall in west Ottawa for my family but I saw that the people making the hamburgers DID NOT wear gloves and were handing different meats, burger buns, onions and vegetables, sauce bottles and utensils without washing their hands or wearing gloves!! This is very dangerous and illegal in most first world countries! In countries like Australia, a restaurant can receive large fines for not adhering to health regulations!! I ordered a Mama burger, but when I got home it was a plain cheese burger. I asked for onions but got nothing but a piece of cheese and ketchup. Normally the food is good but today it was dry and unappealing.

Pancakes were ice cold, the butter came with little crumbs in it (gross). It taste terrible The syrup is low quality it like straight corn syrup. The cashier was also rude. They weren’t even busy. When it was my turn to approach she just stared at me rather than saying “next” or “I can help you”. I also had a breakfast wrap and it was pretty good but not great like at other A&W locations. The size of the Styrofoam tray is ridiculous for the 3 paper thin hot cakes/pancakes. Suit yourself but, I will not be back.
