We visited Masala Trail today as a family of four and had a wonderful experience! The restaurant has a beautiful setup, featuring a great outdoor seating area and a lovely interior. We ordered the tandoori chicken wings, chilli paneer, aloo chaat, paneer momos, and hakka noodles—everything was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. My husband and I went to 'Masala Trail' today for lunch. We'd read the Ottawa Citizen article by Food Critic Peter Hum about the Lunch special for $20. We love Indian food and wanted to check them out. The server, who very well may also be the owner, isn't a smiley person. We ordered two Lunch specials and an appetizer. Peter Hum had said that the Lunch special consisted of three curries that you could choose from but our Server told us that today it was a Chicken Curry, a Lentil curry and a Chickpea Curry, no choice. Stopped by after a round of 9 and was impressed. Modern ambiance, beautifully presented dishes with a touch of rustic tradition along with well-balanced flavours- definitely get the tandoori garlic naan as a side! Service was slower that evening but friendly, an overall enjoyable dinner.
