I went to Canvas Art Bar on Lakeshore recently for drinks, mainly hoping to try their cocktails and just explore the lakeshore area. First time I tried to go last week, it wasn’t open, which was a bit disappointing. I came back this week and it was finally open, so that worked out better. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The mocktail to me is quite expensive, but since there is free comedy it balance out the price. If there weren't the loud young group of audience that is interactive, the show would be a bit awkward and quiet. Maybe keep some background music on when the comedian is looking through their notes so it doesn't get awkward. Or try having all 5 comedians be together and make up a story on the spot, probably would be fun. The restaurant itself vibe is really good. Wandered here on a whim and ended up discovering a spot where people actually care about what they put on the menu. Must try strawberry Fields cocktail ( already had half the cocktail by the time I clicked the image) and the wings, can't say enough about them. Absolutely fantastically smoked and sauces perfectly to go with.
