We got a last minute reservation for 6 pm and they were very accomodating to us and our toddler. We sat down and the menu was presented to the whole restaurant by the staff in both French and English. We ordered the asparagus to start and the duck and the halibut for mains. Everything was amazingly delicious and very well-balanced - worth every penny. The restaurant was cozy and relaxed and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend going here for delicious food and fun vibes. Definitely book in advance!

Although L’Affaire est ketchup is super highly rated, the portions, food, and atmosphere fell a flat. The menu changes daily which is a unique and fun concept which allows for ingredients to be fresh and seasonal. The vegetables, grains and pasta were cooked to perfection and had great flavour. But the main star of the dishes such as the beef and duck were dry and tough. Bourdain chasing on our Quebec trip. Was mildly disappointed by Joe Beef in Montreal, so going into Ketchup I had high hopes that it would deliver and save our trip. And oh my did the team at Ketchup deliver. Walking in it's a very unpretentious spot, very quickly it's obvious the focus is 100% on the food. We have never experienced a restaurant quite like this and are glad we did a quick review before our reservation. The menu is ever revolving, so you do not know your menu until you arrive. The space is small, they only do two servings a day, once everyone for your booked serving has arrived and has a drink then you will hear what your options are! We enjoyed some recommended glasses of wine, as we were not provided with a menu, we just trusted our server would know what to pair with the dishes we ordered, and they did!
