This place came recommended by my hotel, and they were right. A very nice french eatery, had the onion soup and the beef tartar. Soup was good, the beef tartar was excellent! Choose a beer i didnt know. Kinda fruity orange'y, not my taste. But that choice is all on me, not the staff. Lot of places has a cosy charm to it, same goes for this place. So i would for sure recommend visitors to Caen to go here for a meal.

The food was excellent - we went there quite late but it was quite packed and we do recommend reservations - steak tartare was lovely, chunky cut! The highlight for me was the tripes. It was so soft, creamy, fatty, full of flavours and the liquid gold! Every tourist should have this dish! Also cafe gourmand is another must generous portions of sweet treats with coffee to finish the meals perfectly. The only criticism is the side room which was quite cold and I wouldn’t like to sit there in the winter. The service was attentive and kind and the staff was very charming.
