I stopped by Notting Hill Coffee this morning and it was such a lovely start to the day. With a perfect view of the Opéra de Lille right from the window seat, it’s hard to imagine a more charming breakfast setting. The cappuccino was smooth, creamy, and just the right strength, served in a cozy mug that paired perfectly with the soft morning light coming through the windows. The croissant was buttery and crisp, while the carrot cake was moist, spiced just right, and topped with rich cream cheese frosting. The service was quick and friendly, and the vibe inside was relaxed with a steady flow

Mostly outside seating next to the opera house. They serve salads and sandwiches and very good pastries. I had a double espresso and a croissant for under 5 euros! Truly amazing prices for France or anywhere today. The outside seating is extensive in a huge pedestrian area. Highly recommended for food quality and prices and perfect location.

I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews here, as my experience was the complete opposite. I entered the shop and was given a really warm welcome. I can't speak French (I wish I could!) but the staff member was fine with that and was more than happy to speak English (and he spoke PERFECT English too!). I took a seat upstairs and enjoyed the atmosphere and the pleasant views of the city from there. The food and drink were really nice too 😋. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely return when I come back to Lille!
