Classic French bistro in a historic setting . Hard to get a seat - obviously quite popular . Good house champagne .at a fair price . Menu is a bit slim - breakfast , 5-6 different variations of tartar , steak frites and paté. But the food is delicious . We’ll definitely come back when in Hamburg .

Lovely place to have a coffee and quite a must visit in Hamburg. We went here for some coffee and tried their macarons, the interior is wonderful and the staff were kind. We waited a while till someone came so we could pay, but the place was also quite full. The macarons are definitely a pass, they tasted mostly of sugar and not of the flavors they were supposed to have, the pistachio macaron was also bright green which it is not supposed to be. The coffee was alright but for a nice break from the city it’s a recommendation.

Staff was very friendly, and especially the people servicing the bar had a great energy and made you feel very welcome. The place is rather busy and it’s recommendable to reserve a table - ask for one in the main room, you’ll appreciate it if you’ve not been before.
