Unless you are told that the serving staff is special, it’s very hard to guess. We had great experience using gestures to communicate with them. Food was good - the Kolhapuri special menu was awesome. The other dishes - good but not great. I had Tambda Rassa and it was just the nice, spicy Kolhapuri flavour.

I recently visited Ishaara in 1 SOBHA and it’s easily one of the most unique fine-dining experiences I’ve had in Bengaluru. 🍽️✨ The concept here is so beautiful, the restaurant is primarily staffed by professionals who are speech and hearing-impaired. The name “Ishaara” literally means gesture, and you place your order using sign language and a pictorial menu. Right on the first page of their menu, they mention it’s a blend of people, connection, and food, and you truly feel that warmth the moment you walk in. ✨ The food and the aesthetic vibe are perfectly in sync. Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful: Malai Broccoli: Super rich, creamy, and seasoned to perfection. Mushroom starter: A Galouti-style starter that literally melts in your mouth. Great ambience and wonderful service! It was incredibly inspiring to see them supporting the community by employing deaf and hard-of-hearing staff—a beautiful initiative that we truly appreciated. Food-wise, the paratha and naan were perfectly fluffy, and the chicken was cooked well, though the overall flavor profile was just okayish.
