Cosa dice la gente

The food is absolutely delicious. The standards are still consistent from all the years that I have visited here. They have the most wonderful selection of pastries, sandwiches and sweet treats. I would really love it if they would open their doors earlier at 8:00 am instead of 9:00 am.
Please mention the spinach mushroom tart has cheese, since I was not aware the label should have mentioned it. Please have vegan and health options which are lacking. Also air fryers are healthier while microwave kills the food so but one to offer healthy warming. Thanks

Tried American Express Bakery recently. The chocolate éclair was decent and easily the best thing I had there. Other than that, I felt the place was a bit overhyped — most items were average and didn’t really stand out taste-wise. Compared to A1 Bakery next door, it’s still the better option, but overall nothing exceptional that would make me go out of my way to visit again. Decent for a quick bite, but expectations should be kept in check.

I've been there only once but my experience was way above my expectations. I tried their Lemon Tart, Cinnamon Roll, Chicken Quiche and each of them tasted amazing, the Lemon Tart and Cinnamon Roll being the show's topper. They have a variety of items in their menu also a good collection of tea cakes, plum cakes and cookies. Would definitely come back soon and try all other items. What I loved the most is the balance of the different flavours in their sweet items (unlike most bakeries who just adds enormous amount of sugar to make it overly sweet).

I’ve been visiting American Express Bakery for nearly 30 years now and it continues to feel like stepping into a delicious slice of my own history. What amazes me most is how beautifully they’ve maintained the quality of their food over the decades. It's consistent, comforting and absolutely delightful every single time. Their Chicken Lorraine remains unbeatable, the Mutton Pattice is still one of the best you’ll find in the city and the Salami Sandwich has that perfect old-school flavour that’s hard to come by anymore. The bread pudding tastes exactly the way it did years ago: warm, nostalgic and wonderfully homely. They also have an excellent range of tea cakes, each one soft, simple and packed with flavour. And of course, the cream rolls. They are light, crisp, perfectly filled...arguably the best in town. The charm of this place extends far beyond the food. The interiors still hold the magic of an earlier era with wooden shelves, warm lighting and classic glass-fronted cabinets d

What a gem discovered by accident, arrived way after peak time so stock was a little low (they were due to be re-stocked) but there were more than enough tasty morsels to get starting on. Chicken Lorraine quiche mutton roll(spicy) and a couple of delicious cakes, everything was delicious. The place was pristine in cleanliness, gorgeous antique display cabinets. The food was so reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back

American Express Bakery in Bandra is one of those “heritage” spots — over 100 years old and super well known. So naturally, we were curious and had decent expectations going in. But honestly? It was pretty average. We tried a couple of their cheesecakes, brownies and patties — it all tasted just… mid. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The kind of stuff you’d expect at a regular bakery, not one with a century-old reputation. What also stood out — and not in a good way — was the staff. They came across as a bit rude and uppity, almost like they were doing us a favour by just being there. For a place that sees so much footfall and has that legacy, you’d expect more warmth or at least basic courtesy. It’s also priced a bit on the higher side, which would be totally fine if the quality matched up — but it really didn’t. So yeah, for the hype and the history, it fell short. If you’re in the area, maybe check it out once just for the legacy factor. But don’t go in expecting to be

American Express Bakery exudes quaint café vibes, complete with beautiful tile work, charming photo frames, and artwork by Mario Miranda that adds to its character. We tried the chocolate mousse, and the creamy texture was absolutely worth it. The servers were polite and attentive, making the experience even better. Definitely a place we’d recommend for a cozy and delightful visit!
