It was a good dinning experience. For where it’s located, Abruzzo, I can say it’s a surprise for me to find a Japanese restaurant making decent oriental food. Not much to comment on the food itself, it’s beyond standard for Abruzzo Asian restaurant market for sure. Maybe because of the lack of knowledge about Japanese food culture in Abruzzo, the restaurant has to adapt themselves to the local market like everywhere in the world. So you won’t find specific dish or a plate that makes you feel”wow, spectacular “regarding taste or cooking method. Overall, we liked the place and the atmosphere

Giappo is an excellent restaurant. We sat outside, which was great on this pleasant summer evening, but the inside space is also beautiful. The wait staff were so friendly and helpful with the sushi selections and with the pairing of wine. Everything we ordered; the Miso soup, the sashimi and the tempura were all outstanding! The chefs at Giappo have clearly done there homework. In addition to the food, we were treated with Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, which is the iconic wine from this region. Highly recommend Giappo! 👍👍
