We enjoyed the cold beer and coffee here, even ordered an appetizer. However, when I let my friend taste a piece of a krentenbol, as a typical Dutch thing, the waiter rudely told us not to do that. We were paying our check?? Felt very unwelcoming and chastised.

Service was efficient and of the two servers one was pleasant and the other did not care at all: totally disinterested. Food was good but very expensive even by Dutch standards: 9 Euros for one Bao bun? I guess one is paying for being on the square.

The kitchen had been just closed, when we arrived, but the waiter Mace was super nice and made sure, that we could still order a lot from the menu. The food and drinks were very delicious and it was served very quickly. All in all it was a very cozy athmosphere, even though the restaurant was about to close and being the last ones, we never had the feeling, that they wanted us to leave early. If we‘re visiting Haarlem again, we will definetly come back!
