As soon as you walk in, you know that you are going to have an amazing dinner. The sounds and smells of the kitchen. The warm wood interior with the cozy seating. The welcoming staff. Stumbled in as the only tourists in the place which, in hindsight, was the first sign we were onto something good. The tartare on dauphinoise is the dish. Sounds simple, does something clever with the richness of the potato cutting the tartare in a way that just works. The chocolate mousse had a depth of flavour that made it feel less like dessert and more like the point of the whole evening. An absolute delightful experience. From the moment we stepped in to the second we left, we were treated warmly, with the caliber of any Star restaurant. We were lucky enough to get a table next to the kitchen and it was a joy watching the talented chefs work and put care into each dish. And that care showed in the food. The flavors were thoughtfully paired and dishes beautifully presented. Just honestly a top restaurant experience. Really looking forward to our next visit.
