We ordered one brownie, one blondie. Both were delicious! We visited on a Wednesday morning, so it was not busy, but we noticed many of the tables were reserved at lunch time, so probably best to plan ahead if possible in that case. The seating area is quite spacious and open, which is nice for a place so centrally located. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come again.

I read about this place while trying to find a cozy spot to catch a bite. Honestly, the name caught my eye and went I dove deeper, I realized the “downies” meant Down syndrome. I believe they hire folks with Down syndrome and this is not the only location in the Netherlands. Bravo! We popped in for something warm while looking at the flower parade floats on Sunday morning. This is a cute place with a nice character. It was not busy and the service was good. There was a little play area for children which was a super nice touch. Prices were reasonable and the brownie was good!

First I have to say that I am very impressed by the idea of this place. We saw it as we walked by and had to circle around and have some coffees. Service was very good and friendly. If we are in Haarlem again, I will have test the food also. Nice vibe! 👌🏻

The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. We tried several dishes — a warm, comforting soup with soft bread and dip, a vibrant chicken salad packed with color and crunch, delicious loaded fries with pulled meat, and a flatbread topped with tangy red onions and cabbage. Every bite was thoughtfully made and absolutely delicious. We finished with a cappuccino served on a little wooden tray with whipped cream and a brownie b
