My husband and I visited Ocean Basket Abuja today for lunch after seeing the reviews and craving some good seafood . It truly did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The hostess, Blessing, was incredibly polite, attentive, and accommodating. She took the time to explain the menu clearly and made us feel comfortable right away. The overall ambiance was lovely, though I do feel the air conditioning could be slightly improved. That said, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Service was impressively quick, and our food arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented just like the pictures on the menu. You could even hear the food being prepared in the background, which added to the experience. I made a few special requests for seasoning and extras, and they were handled promptly without any issues. I spent my birthday at Ocean Basket and it was an annexing experience! The food was SUPER FRESH!!! This is the freshest seafood I’ve had in Abuja. The food came out really fast, hot and fresh. Ocean Basket is a joy. I love love love it. What a beautiful experience it was. We were first greeted by a clean environment that didn't reek of any seafood unlike some places. The staff were clean, polite and courteous. We first had complimentary buns and dips to go with. Then we got to the main event of the day; dinner! I was impressed when we got our food. The rainbow Sushi just melts in your mouth and if you are a first timer, don't worry about the fish taste, you won't feel it and it's delicious. We had a platter, pink lemonade and seafood rice. We had chopsticks too by the way, for our sushi. Tasted one of the most delightful calamaris I've had in a long while. We had some meals to go and they packed it properly for us including our dips.

I enjoyed my experience here. The waitress (Miss Joy) who served my wife and I was very courteous and polite. She kept coming back to check on us to ensure we were having a good time. She is really good and people like her are rare in establishments of this sort. We also enjoyed the food. Who ever the chef is, deserves a raise. Overall, our experience here was amazing except that there should be a downward review of the prices. They are not for an average Nigerian.
