Had an amazing meal at Ramssa Omani Restaurant last week and it felt like way more than just dinner. The food was authentic and flavorful, tried the Shuwa and Omani rice, and you could tell it was cooked the traditional way. Portions were good and everything tasted fresh. If you want real Omani food, this is the place. But what really stood out was the owner who came over to check if everything was okay, chatted with us about the dishes, and at the end he brought out homemade Omani sweets on the house. Such a small gesture, but it made the whole experience feel warm and personal. You don’t get that kind of hospitality everywhere. The place has a cozy, local vibe, nothing fancy, just good food and good people. Perfect if you want to try Omani cuisine the way locals enjoy it. Definitely going back next time I’m in Muscat.

It was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip and the perfect introduction to traditional Omani cuisine. This place is truly an amazing restaurant. The food was delicious and the best sea bream we ever had. The sea bream was in a banana leaf and was the most tender and flavorful-no idea how they did that!! We also had the camel meat, the saloon and the chicken everything was 10/10! Ramssa was one of the most memorable meals I had in Muscat and will absolutely be somewhere I visit every time I return. I ordered the Camel Miqlai, and it was exceptional. The sweet honey perfectly complemented the savory camel meat, which was cooked to perfection with an incredible texture. It was honestly some of the best meat I’ve had in years. Paired with the thin Omani bread that practically melts in your mouth, every bite was outstanding. The restaurant itself adds so much to the experience with its traditional Omani seating, warm atmosphere, and authentic local feel. It’s easy to see why it’s frequented by locals and tourists alike. The owner also showed me great hospitality, which made the experience even more memorable, and shared that he’s from my region, which was a really nice personal touch.
