This spot was a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I felt conspicuous as the only “tourist”there. I was hoping that that boded well for the food. I wasn’t disappointed and at the same time wasn’t excited with the chicken, chips and bread that were presented though the beer was cold. The chicken had heaps of flavour that would have been better expressed if it weren’t on the dry side. That was a theme that both the chips and bread followed faithfully. I did enjoy the meal and would eat there again. I’m glad I got there early as there was a lineup that extended outside when I departed. The service was

This felt an authentic “local” place. Kind attentive service from our waitress who knew some English. Food was terrific. We tried soup (a chicken broth based dish), 3 large mains (full plates - beef, pork and chicken dishes), 2 desserts, salad, sangria and water. Bill came to €61. One of the best meals we had in Portugal. Plentiful, very tasty and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend

One of the best chicken dishes we have had in a long time. Tasted absolutely great. Spatchcocked over open flame with very tasty seasoning. Staff were all very friendly and the price was great. Well worth a visit. Fries were great to.
