We had a lovely evening at Restaurante Aitaren Boulevard. The starters were tasty and beautifully presented, the meat was cooked fantastically, and the surroundings were both cosy and beautiful. The service was very professional and welcoming. A special thank you to Joanna, who gave us exquisite and attentive service throughout the evening. You really feel welcome with such service, and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts. What a fantastic experience at Aitaren! The food is of an incredible standard; the perfect balance between traditional Basque cuisine and modern refinement. The fish dishes in particular were silky smooth and incredibly fresh. The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly, even though the restaurant was quite busy. The atmosphere is also spot on: a stylish, modern interior but with that warm, cozy vibe you look for in Bilbao. Located right on the beautiful boulevard, so the location is ideal as well. Aitaren in Bilbao definitely knows how to make an entrance — their T-bone steak is less a dish and more a small event. We ordered two “for 2-3 people” portions for seven… and somehow ended up facing over 4 kg of meat like a culinary challenge we didn’t sign up for. At €90/kg, it felt more impressive in size than in flavor, but at least the staff were lovely and the atmosphere made the whole experience enjoyable. Come hungry - and maybe bring a backup team.

The restaurant looks posh. Staff were friendly. Food was top. Highly recommended place to eat in when visiting Bilbao. This resto was so near our hotel NYX, we were ready to pay for a dinner for something pricey so don’t be shocked when you see your bill go higher than 150eu (which is quite OK compared to a dinner where we live). The best aged beef we had so far.
