Me and my boyfriend had such an incredible meal here during our week in Santander. The meat was cooked to perfection, service was incredible from the staff - with a particular gentleman who worked here that was just popping in, staying to assist us in getting seated and understanding the menu! We speak little to no Spanish so we appreciated the details of the menu ahead of ordering! Atmosphere was great, very much a stylish and ambient spot!

The food at Kandela was genuinely amazing, and the quality of the dishes deserves real praise. Unfortunately, I can only give three stars because the service made us feel quite uncomfortable throughout the evening. While the staff were attentive enough in terms of taking orders and bringing food, they came across as cold and unfriendly. I repeatedly said “please” and “thank you” when interacting with staff, but was met with no response at all.
