Our visit to Restaurant Lötschberg in Bern was a mixed experience. While the setting is pleasant, the staff didn’t feel very welcoming, which affected the overall dining atmosphere. On the positive side, the cheese fondue was really good — rich, flavourful, and one of the highlights of the meal. However, the rösti was quite average, lacking the crispiness and flavour we were hoping for. Overall, the food had its strong points, but the service and consistency could be improved for a more enjoyable visit.

Service felt rushed and unfriendly. Raclette? Had better. Thought the wine was going to be amazing. It was passable. Way too much dressing on my salad and it tasted like mayonnaise. Pork schnitzel was very good, and the fries were crispy. Did I mention the unfriendly service?? Will not return.

Lately we went to Lötschberg Bern twice. One time we had a Fondue, the other time I had a "Käseschnitte". Both time the quality didn't meet my expectations. The Fondue had generally a full, richtig aroma. But there were also hints, that it was burnt before serving it to us. The cheese of the Käseschnitte was not fully melted, andfrom the quantities it was more a green salad with Käseschnitte, not the other way round. Soon I will expand a little more on our experience.

This is our first time in Bern. Been to Switzerland before and had delicious Racelette Fondue in Wengen. Went to Lotschberg for my wife to try Racelette Cheese Fondue for the first time. Waiter kept pushing us to try the Racelette in the picture (most expensive) and order drinks. The Recelette cheese is served on a dish (see photo), no warming candle underneath to keep the cheese melted, so the cheese became leathery very soon. We left the restaurant with a hefty bill (80 CHF) for the subpar Racelette dish. Another surprise was the restaurant's Credit Card machine. It suggested 5%, 10%, or 15%
