Very, very good! We showed up here for lunch without a reservation on a Sunday between Christmas and New Year, but the staff squeezed us in without a wait. We ordered a portion of frites to share as a side and got an enormous plate of delicious fries. Each of us had Moroccan stew that was rich with herbal flavor and accompanied by falafel in half of a fluffy pita. The view can’t be beat! We would definitely return!

There are restaurants you go to for the food, and restaurants you go to for the setting. Rosengarten in Bern is supposed to be the latter. Everyone knows it, the postcards know it, the tourists with their cameras definitely know it. So walking in with a reserved table already felt like half the battle won.
