I recently had lunch at La Coupole, and to my surprise the menu was exactly the same as when I last visited in December 2024. While consistency can be a strength, it also makes the experience feel a bit predictable. The restaurant is clean and the service is clearly aiming for a high-level, fine-dining standard. However, I couldn’t help but feel that the atmosphere leaned more toward theater than genuine coziness. The waiters are attentive, but they tend to overdo it—adding too many adverbs and flourishes in their speech—which ends up sounding a bit forced and, frankly, fake. As for the food

La Coupole remains the gold standard. I was hosted here for a business lunch that reminded me why the classics are timeless. The Côte de bœuf grillée was spectacular—perfectly charred, tender, and robust. It was accompanied by frites maison that were crisp to perfection and épinards en branche that tasted of fresh, buttery greens. The service was the true highlight: impeccably professional, yet delivered with a sharp wit and genuine warmth that turned a formal meeting into a delightful event. This is hospitality as it should be. Five stars.

Every tume when I come to Geneva I try to visit La Coupole. My absolute favourite Filets de Perches with their special beurre citronné. Different in a positive way from how they are prepared usually. One glass of Pinot Gris on the side makes the visit perfect 👌 I am already looking forward to my next visit 😋
