My friends and I visited this place for team dinner. Though we did not make any reservations, the waitress arranged seating for all 7 of us. We requested seating by the ocean. The waitress said that some customers seated there may vacate and then we can move. Soon, as promised we were moved to the table overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful view. We ordered drinks and food and it arrived reasonably quick. The portions were generous and the taste was par for the price you paid. I could see many foreigners enjoying the dining experience by the sea. The restrooms have security and only the guests dining there are allowed to use it. Overall we enjoyed the ambiance, the courteous service and the food. Price maybe expensive, but the ambience and professional service makes it worth the billing. Recommended if you are around this location and want to enjoy the sea breeze and quiet and luxurious ambience .

I came to this restaurant mainly because of its beautiful views and the chance to enjoy the sunset, but unfortunately, I completely regretted my visit. It turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The staff were unfriendly, and the person who appeared to be the manager was very hostile. He behaved in a very unpleasant and unprofessional manner. I can't say for certain why, but I noticed that he was treating some male customers very warmly while being much more hostile toward me. When I arrived, I briefly took out my phone to record the view. The manager approached me aggressively and told me that recording was not allowed. I immediately said "OK" and stopped recording without any argument. However, instead of leaving it there, he continued questioning and lecturing me about why I hadn't asked for permission first. I explained that I had simply come to eat and enjoy the view. He then repeated that I was not allowed to record the sunset view, which honestly left me

This is an amazing place with a beautiful view that creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The food is consistently good, the service is excellent, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. The music adds to the experience, especially on Thursdays when the live band performs 👌👌👌they are always great and really set the mood for a perfect evening. I loved my experience at the waterfront. Arrived and was pleasantly greeted, seated immediately and had a nice recommendation from the waiter aligned with dietary requirements. The pizza was not bad, but not up there with real Italian base and sauce. Slightly disappointing but the views and incredible service made up for it. They also catered to my drink request that was not on the menu!

Honestly, I’m a bit sad writing this because it’s a place I’ve enjoyed for years, but it’s gotten to a point where something needs to be said. I go out to eat quite often, and while good food and ambiance matter, service is what makes you come back. Unfortunately, that’s where Waterfront keeps falling short. First time was during lunch. The food was great, we had the mbuzi choma, calamari, octopus, and catch of the day, but the service was very slow. Mains came before starters and some dishes were cold. We brushed it off as a bad day. We went back about a month later for dinner and it was worse. We were seated and then left for around 40 minutes with no menus or service, while other tables were being attended to. At that point we just left. On the way out they asked how everything was and we had to laugh because we had not even been given menus. It is frustrating because the place has so much going for it.
