Visited many times but this was the first time for my husband & first time for breakfast, we were quite dissappointed. The place was cold inside & a cold & windy day too, no music so not much atmosphere. The taste of the breakfast was very nice locally sourced meat but hate it when you get toast already 🧈 buttered! I don't have my toast buttered & wasn't asked if everything ok with the breakfast? Its a shame you pay almost £15 for the full English & have to pay extra for hash browns & beans making it it almost £20 when other places provide it for free. Nice staff & tasty food nevertheless.

Seated immediately with no booking on a Sunday. Staff quick to take a drink order and then food when bringing said drinks. Ordered the Benedict frantumato that now comes with some pastrami 👌 Tasted outstanding

Can’t comment on the quality of the food. I ordered through the restaurant’s website but one hour and 15 minutes went by. I called and spoke to an employee. I was told that my order was on the way and was just leaving. I waited another 45 minutes before calling again. This time I was told that they hd no record of my order. £23.10 had already been deducted from my bank account. I asked that my money be refunded. Two phone calls and three weeks later I am still owed for food that I never received! I will never trust an online ordering service again.

Our recent visit to this highly praised Darlington cafe was, unfortunately, memorable for all the wrong reasons. As we were arriving to catch up with friends over a meal, we expected the warm, professional hospitality that so many reviews highlight. What we experienced instead was a level of indifference that was both surprising and disappointing.
