Ventured out here last week. Highly recommended bait. The main guy serving was very attentive to make sure no vegan meals were confused or missed. Really easy way to order food. Took a little while to get drinks. Garlic bread 3/5: was a bit cold but excellent Patatas bravas 4/5: quality, I like a little bit more spice generally Meatballs 5/5: quality meat in a lovely sauce Garlic mushrooms 5/5: really tasty and moreish Vegan haloumi 3/5: a bit high priced for what it is. I booked the Tapas Bar on behalf of DarlingtonOS for our after show party. George, Chloe and all the staff were just brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered the buffet menu and there was an excellent choice of food and plenty of it. They catered for all people with dietary requirements, Veggie, Vegan and Gluten free. All who attended said they loved it, it was a great venue with atmosphere and they loved the food. I will certainly be booking again. Some are even going to book with family as they loved it so much. We have now used The Old Yard Tapas Bar twice in the past 18 months to cater lunch for our board meetings, and the experience has been excellent on both occasions. Our board members are well travelled and come from various countries across Europe, so expectations are understandably high. Went with an international party of 17 colleagues in May 2026. Every dish (and there were more than just a few!) was excellent. Service was friendly, attentive and they literally didn't put a single foot wrong. Highlights were the lamb kleftico and brisket stifado, patatas bravas and adonis mountain potatoes. A little pushed for space upstairs but there were 17 of us!!
