Absolutely outstanding – I truly can’t fault a thing. The location is stunning, set right by the river, and to my surprise, there were hardly any flies at all! The food was some of the tastiest I’ve had in a long time – every dish was full of flavour. Service was impeccable, with Lucy being especially fantastic – super friendly and always smiling. We come to Lorentes regularly and it’s usually a fantastic meal, which made this visit especially disappointing. Unfortunately, the food just wasn’t up to the usual standard. The tapas arrived very far apart — we essentially finished one dish and then waited around 10 minutes for the next. We understand dishes are served when ready, but this felt unusually disjointed compared to our previous experiences. We also ordered the paella, which is normally a favourite, but sadly around 75% of it was burnt. We barely ate it, and even the waitress acknowledged that it wasn’t right. On a positive note

Food so nice, we went back twice. Best cava I’ve ever had. Enjoyed the sweet wine and the Rioja too. Loads of very nice tapas dishes. Nothing disappointed. You can tell that the management have a lot of passion and attention to detail, and the kitchen team are highly skilled and consistent in their output. The staff team is highly professional and effective, even though they were super busy on a sunny evening. I’ll go back here many times, I’m sure.
