This is the casual version of GR’s massive array of restaurants. It offers the burgers, chips, some Asian dishes like curries, and something local to the area like Cullen Skink. The interior deco is a bit dark and basic with chairs and tables that’s seen better days. My chair was very wobbly and unstable. Table was wobbly and I held it down with my foot. There‘s a spiral metal staircase that leads to the upper floor… and the toilets. Thank goodness there’s a lift hidden behind curtains for those who aren’t agile enough to climb the spiral stairs. What an amazing experience at Bread Street Kitchen! The waiting staff were absolutely fantastic – friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The chefs did an incredible job; every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. I genuinely cannot praise the service and staff highly enough. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made the whole visit memorable. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be returning. The starters were all delicious, and the biggest surprise was definitely the cheese — rich, creamy, and slightly sweet, with an amazing balance of flavors. For the mains, the cod was the standout dish for me. It was cooked perfectly, tender and fresh, and the sauce paired with it was absolutely delicious. The steak was also cooked to the right level and very satisfying. A few of the other dishes were slightly on the salty side for my taste, but that may just be because I usually prefer lighter seasoning. Visited with my partner back in november, on a friday afternoon, we did not have a reservation but they had room to seat us, which they did very quickly. Our server Kirsty, was very pleasant and patient with us. We ordered a large water for the table, an irn-bru and a lager for drinks. For food i had to get the fish and chips, and my partner opted for the slow cooked ribs, with a side of fries. We were informed it would be about a 30minute wait for the ribs, and we choose a bread basket while we waited. The bread was nice, warm and fluffy on the inside, and the butter was very soft and yummy.
