I can call this place an EXPERIENCE! Starting with the staff, Andrea was soooo helpful and lovely she made our day more special since we had a birthday celebration and the treat was on house🥹❤️ how lovely! I've been going to dishoom all over the UK for a very long time and they never disappoint. The service is stellar, the atmosphere is really good and I feel like I'm in India. And the food doesn't disappoint either. I always enjoy whatever we order. We started with the potato chaat, followed by the chilli toast, we had the special lamb dish, some jack fruit biryani and some mattar paneer. The roomali roti was delicious. We had a meal at Dishoom Edinburgh after days of trying and missing due to the long wait. But this time we were lucky. We got a table right away and were able to try out four different types of starters and drinks each. We do have plans to go there for mains later but on that day it was just starters because of the time. And yes we did also try Alfonso mangoes. The bill was on the other side of £100. Had an amazing lunch here. I ordered the café special; the salli boti. I also ordered the cheese naan on the side and to drink, the passion fruit sharbat. Everything was delicious. The lamb in the sali boti was incredibly tender and the gravy was very flavorful. I had the half plate and the portion size was very good and filling.. My absolute favorite dish however was the dessert; I was lucky enough that they had the mango special when I visited. So I had the Alphonso Mango bowl with vanilla ice cream and it was insanely good.
