When booking, I mentioned that I was celebrating my birthday and would be dining alone, but the team immediately made the occasion feel special. There was even a birthday card waiting for me at my table, which was a lovely touch. The view of Edinburgh Castle from my table was magnificent. I started with the ribs, followed by the chicken and cashew nut stir-fry, and both dishes were excellent. We had chicken satay, Thai chicken tacos and tempura vegetables. All wonderful. And the service was great. We had no reservation and got in no problem at 5:30, but it quickly started filling up. Book ahead and ask for the glass house for seating. Has a great view to the castle. Don’t miss this place.

The views across Edinburgh are beautiful and on arrival we had a card and glass of prosecco on our table to kick start our celebrations which was a lovely touch. Daniel, our server added to our experience sharing his knowledge of the menu, being attentive even when the restaurant was getting busy. He was very friendly and took time to ensure that everything was ok. We will definitely return and thank you for a lovely experience.

Our sever Daniel and hostess Hannah were lovely and polite, amazing team! I love that they have many vegetarian options. My favourite was the pad thai, red curry and chicken satay. The raspberry crush cocktail was refreshing. Would definitely recommend Chaophraya and return again.
