Recommended by the staff at the hostel I was staying at, at the other side of the road. Had Haggis and it was good. I'm not into mash potatoes, but the rest was good and the staff really kind and attentive. Second night and ai just went back, because finding a nice place to eat can be tricky. Had the burger and it.was.GOOD. I live a good burger and this is on of the better I've had in a long time. Came with hot, super crispy fries/chips. We stopped here for dinner. It's a cozy pub, with quick, friendly, and attentive service. The dishes were quite good - we had the chicken Balmoral and the cullen skink. We liked them both. Also decided to order a dessert as I was curious about the famous toffee pudding - it's quite good, although a bit too sweet for my liking (guess it's a matter of taste in the end). Overall, a nice place for dinner.

We just happened across the Fiddler’s Arms, and liked the vibe, so we stopped in for dinner. We started with a “Regional Picks whiskey flight”. For our dinner, shared an appetizer, a Pie & Mash entree, and an order of the Truffle & Parmesan fries. Everything was delicious. The food was served quickly and the staff was friendly. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend Fiddler’s Arms.

Absolutely love this little gem of a pub! It’s cozy, not loud, the service is excellent - all with a smile - very well managed team! The food is EXCELLENT! I wanted something comforting and it was so delicious! I wasn’t feeling well and the supervisor brought me hot water with lemon, I thought it was very thoughtful of him. Went twice in a row, would go again next time I visit Edinburgh!
