Very nice place altogether, staff was kind, food was good. Would certainly return. They took a few minutes extra to prepare our table which was no trouble at all but insisted our first drinks were on them which was very lovely. The asparagus was phenomenal, and the soufflé was not code behind. The rabbit and the duck good and the sauces were flavourful but were both lacking a touch of salt which was only a minor issue. Also, we did notice one of the chefs using their phone before going straight back to handling food. Just a note for the kitchen.

I went here for my anniversary meal a few weeks ago and was blown away by the food. We were kindly given a complimentary drink on arrival which we really appreciated. I ordered the ox cheek risotto which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The quality of food is top tier and it’s hard to find a meal like it in Edinburgh. My partner went with the chicken supreme and also loved it. Staff were friendly and lighting and decor was nice. Even though the restaurant was full It was a very quiet dining experience and the atmosphere would could be improved with music at a slightly louder volume as

An amazing lunch. Super friendly waitress (red hair from Canada). Prices very reasonable for the quality and the best steak tartare I've ever eaten. Nice atmosphere. Bramble cocktail was also so so good! Can't wait to go back!
