On a hot Friday afternoon weatherspoons stopped doing most of their food so we tried the Goose. Best decision we made. The bar was air conditioned, cool, the staff were great and the food was a lot better than pre ious weatherspoons lunches. Drinks were reasonable as well. I great venue.

My family and myself have come here regularly over the years, to eat during the day. We always go with intentions of eating moderately healthy but normally, all end up ordering mixed grills as they are very tasty indeed. Then as the desserts are so delicious and tempting we order these also. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. One of the ladies serving always recommends the Pie, so I will try this at some point. Always lots of free seats in the daytime and a relaxing atmosphere. Never been here in the evenings so I can’t comment on this aspect. Very friendly staff. Highly recomm

1st time at the Goose, pub looked really nice & pleasant, unfortunately the standards were a big let down! One of the young men who served us seemed very new to the job & clueless of the menu, my nephew has allergies, The young man who was serving us had no knowledge on allergies which felt quite concerning when it came to ordering our meals & drinks from the food menu! Food took nearly an hour to arrive after being ordered, when we finally received our food one of our meals was wrong, then had to wait another 30 minutes while that meal was being sorted, when the meal finally arrived everyone

Group booking - bacon looked not cooked. Popadom was stale, nann bread was solid and couldn’t be bitten. Curry sauce so think it couldn’t be poured. Pie pastry was solid. Vegetables on pasta non cooked and 2tbsp of beans for a jacket potato. Complained but nothing resolved, just that they were sorry about bean portion size
